Technology Offices (TO)

Our technology offices work closely with the major Barclays businesses (e.g. Barclaycard, Barclays Commercial Bank) to develop relationships, understand the needs of each business, and provide IT solutions that will enable them to achieve their goals.

These teams work closely with Global Infrastructure and Service Delivery to meet the IT requirements of each business area, as well as with the other technology business units.

Global Infrastructure & Service Delivery (GISD)

Overseas the day-to-day and end-to-end availability and quality of the IT infrastructure, which supports our UK and international retail and commercial businesses. GISD also runs major infrastructure development projects from design through to implementation and testing.

Architecture, Strategy and Governance (ASG)

Defines the overall IT strategy to support Barclays businesses. From strategic planning through to product selection the team drive efficient, reliable and scaleable IT solutions ensuring we implement best value technology solutions for our customers.

Technology Quality & Risk Management (TQR)

The TQR team is responsible for ensuring Barclays meets industry, regulatory and internal compliance requirements. Using industry standards, the team independently ensure risks are managed, controls are measured, and the high quality implementation of change into the IT environment, enhancing external and internal customer satisfaction.

Global Information Security (GIS)

Provides Barclays with world-class security that underpins one of the world's leading banks. Global Information Security is responsible for the security of all IT systems and data across the globe, supporting the implementation of our information security policies.

Chief Operating Office (COO)

• Focuses on the strategic, tactical and day-to-day operation of GRB Technology.
• Plans, develops and delivers ongoing improvements to business processes to promote best performance through:
