The Barclaycard Programme

We have structured our graduate programmes with you in mind. Our programme runs for 2 years during which time you will complete three placements in your chosen business area. In terms of location we expect you to be fully flexible and you will be required to travel to any one of our sites dependant on the needs of the business.

We offer graduate programmes in the following business areas:
You will need to think about which area is right for you. Whatever business you join, we will expect you to be proactive, ambitious and hungry to learn. Your first placement will be an introduction to your chosen business area. You will work alongside some of the most experienced leaders in the field and develop your knowledge of the business and how it fits into Barclaycard. We will work with you to develop your skills to help drive you forward. Your second placement will really test your knowledge and will start to prepare you for your first permanent position at the end of the scheme. You will need to start thinking about where you want to specialise and what skills you need to develop. Your final placement will be challenging. We expect you to be performing at a high level, delivering solutions to our customers both internally and externally and helping to drive the business forward.
Development
When you join us, you will take part in a central induction in London. There, you have the opportunity to meet your fellow graduates from across Barclays. You will hear from some of our most influential leaders during your first few days with us as you get to know Barclays and Barclaycard. You will then join our Barclaycard induction where you will undergo a training programme to prepare you for the start of your career with us. You will have a buddy, one of our existing graduates who will be there to help you along the way as well as a business sponsor who will coach you through your graduate programme.
We are committed to investing in your development. Each graduate in Barclaycard is entitled to their own specific training budget across the 2 year programme. We will work with you on your development needs early to identify which training is right for you. It could be a professional qualification or a specific course which will help you develop in your chosen career path.
