The Treasury Programme

This 12-month programme gives you the chance to work not just across the Treasury function, but in close contact with a range of other Barclays Group businesses. By the end of the 12 months, having worked in at least three Treasury teams, you’ll come away with an excellent understanding of how Treasury operates and fits within Barclays as a whole.

Depending on your skills and ambitions, these are the key areas you can join:

Financial Reporting and Operations
Product Control
Hedge Accounting
Liquidity Collateral and Management
Transaction Management (Front Office)
Balance Sheet Analysis and Reporting
Capital Management
Capital Issuance and Securitisation

Wherever you end up, you'll find yourself constantly challenged. You’ll also work alongside some of the most successful and senior people in the industry. It's a great place to build a profile for yourself and a natural choice for graduates ambitious to progress quickly within Barclays.

As part of the programme you're automatically marked out as one of our managers of the future. To help you on your way, you'll have career support from your line manager and your mentor who will advise on your choices throughout the graduate scheme. At the end of the 12 months you'll join the Treasury team that best suits your abilities and interests.

You'll need to study for a professional finance qualification, with either the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ACA), Associated Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).
