1. How much will I be paid?
You’ll receive a competitive starting salary plus a one-off sign-on bonus and a mobility allowance. We also offer a range of additional benefits including personal development budget, 25 days’ holiday, pension and a share options scheme.

3. I’m not a recent graduate and have some years’ work experience. Can I still apply?

No, we encourage applications from all age groups.

5. Can existing Barclays’ employees apply?
Yes, we encourage applications from existing employees who are graduates. Your application and assessment will follow the same process as that of external candidates.

6. What provisions do you make for graduates with a disability?
We judge applicants on their ability and nothing else, and we work hard to help those with disabilities as much as possible. 8. What is the closing date for applications?
The deadline is 31st December 2008 for graduate programmes and 13th February 2009 for internships. However vacancies close as places are filled so make sure you’re quick off the mark.

9. Can I start my online application form and then come back to it later?
Yes – there’s a facility to save your application.

10. Can I get a paper copy of the application form?
Yes, but we’d rather you applied online if possible as online applications are received and processed faster. However, we can send you a paper form in exceptional circumstances and this won’t harm your application. Call the Graduate Recruitment Hotline on 0845 241 4936 to ask for a paper or Braille form.

11. Can I get hold of a copy of the brochure?

12. Do you reimburse any expenses run up during the recruitment process?
Yes, we reimburse reasonable expenses up to £50 (supported by receipts). In exceptional circumstances we might pay higher expenses, but you must contact

14. What career development will I expect?
To help you be as productive as possible as quickly as possible we give you everything from a thorough induction, a mentor and a buddy through to online and off-the-job training courses, support to study for professional qualifications and a personal self-development budget. All this on top of a carefully structured graduate development programme.

15. Will I have the chance to work elsewhere in Barclays during the programme?

Lots. We hire and develop the best people and support personal development in every way we can. As soon as you join we’ll assign you a buddy and a mentor to help you find your feet and offer advice throughout the
